Day 3: If you could have a superpower, what would it be, and how would you use it?

I have mentioned somewhere in my Instagram that I would like to have the power of invisibility. The main reason is to avoid people, so that they can’t disturb me. Sometimes I just want to disappear and go somewhere nice and calm to quietly read books.

Of course the power needs to be able to be turned on and off at will. Like Violet in the movie The Incredibles. Talk about being alone but not lonely…

I swear Violet doesn’t represent my insecurities in life. And I didn’t look that emo when I was her age.

The desire to be invisible when needed has been in me for quite a long time, since I read Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. In this absurd novel, my favorite character is Cheshire Cat. The cat can leisurely appear and disappear wherever and whenever he wants.

Ahem. I know, that’s kinda different. Cheshire Cat’s ability is more like teleportation, not invisibility.

Well, if I can’t have the superpower, at least give me the invisibility cloak, will ya? Promise I won’t abuse its power to sneak into a library like Harry Potter did in his first year at Hogwarts …unless it’s completely necessary and related to the matter of life-and-death.

In addition, after I think about it, I’d also like to use the invisibility power to punish people with bad habits, like throwing trash to the river. I would flick their foreheads and slap their wrists. I would blow their necks and make creepy noises. They’d think the place is haunted.

Would you want this kind of superpower too?
